In our house, the kitchen is the heart. We spend most of the time in the kitchen, not only cooking, but chatting. So, as a mother-daughter duo, we decided to compile a collection of some of our favorite recipes into a e-cookbook. Claraz recipes is a collection of authentic African, American and Caribbean dishes. A mix of traditional dishes, with a modernized twist. Cooking made fun!
Where do they come from?
Our ‘Continental’ recipes originated from Europe and the United States. The dishes are a variation of appetizers, main entrees and desserts. We hope scrolling through this site and the app makes you nostalgic and brings back memories of preparing holiday favorites with your loved ones.
As food bloggers, we love to travel to different Countries around the world and taste the delicious delicacies. On our last trip to the Caribbean we fell in love with the tasteful selection of dishes. Savoring every bite, from the drinks to the main courses, we hope this takes you on a journey to the tropics.
Africa has such a rich cultures, it was the start of civilization! Traveling to the West African Countries and experiencing their culture is life changing. Food is an important part of the culture, countries like Ghana and Nigeria pride themselves in their famous jollof rice, while the Liberians and Gabonese relish in their fufu entrees. Enjoy as your palate takes you on a journey to the motherland.
